Well, weather was awesome last weekend and I actually had time to get out - something that hasn't happened at all this winter. A site opened up that I have been trying to get on for years now. Known activity dating to 1780s, maybe earlier.
First find (besides clad) was a Ford family crest fob:
Second find was a mid 1800s button. It was funny b/se there was a smashed beer can that I was debating on removing. But then I was thinking about the detectorist ethic/code and I grabbed that trash. Yep, the button signal was underneath that:
Last find was what I think is a silver (need to test) bracelet (19grams). It has an odd stamp that I have never seen before - any help greatly appreciated! The closeup looks like it's plated, but that's only lighting. There is not base metal showing through - looks solid. The dark mark near the stamp also looks like a surface rust or paint mark:
I will be heading back soon, as there is a lot of iron and I have the Deus working that ground. Also, there are parts that I couldn't do during this hunt, that I will be able to later.
