Ctx and iron

I recently hit one of my back pocket grassy sites but this one has some iron. I've been over this ground with the ctx and found many wheaties, silver coins and old nickels then everything just stopped. I was lucky to pullout a wheatie. On Sunday I moved the FE line from 24 to 35. It made a big difference I started to find targets in between iron. First a wheatie then a Indian head cent, followed by a few more wheaties, a barber dime,3 v-nickels. The downside is you have to dig out more iron that will fool you that's ok with me as long as I'm finding old coins. I was about to give up on the ctx but now I have new hope I just might find another seated or first gold coin.

Started with a Garrett. I think I've probably tried everything make and model from 1977, all the way to the up to the E-trac and GPX 4800.
Nothing new as for me now, I am pretty much handicapped.

Denny, I have been hunting with the DR Tones pattern. My second pattern is tadpole.

If I am in an area such as you describe, I will flip into tadpole to see what I am not hearing.

Also, I just started using the User button for a previous mode. I have a completely different program on that one.

This gives me quite a few different looks with the push of a button.

Do you flip between settings when hunting?

No I don't flip between settings. Have never seen dr.tones or tadploes patterns. I'm gonna check them out.
