My 2 ring day!!!! 14kt gold Amethyst and Diamond rings

Well while hunting a yard that Birdman and i thought was close to being hunted out i came up with these two wife pleaser's about a foot from each other. Come to find out where i found them there used to an entrance to a church many many many years ago, so looking at the history of North Dakota with a pretty significant Czech heritage i am hoping that maybe the Alexandrite ring comes from Russia(where the first Alexandrites were found on Alexanders birthday in the 19th century and named after him. They both look pretty old, so hopefully the antiquity value will help shoot the value of up, and when i get a chance to have them appraised i will update and let yall know what i come up with. Hope yall enjoy the pics!!!!!

Forgot to add that they were bout 31/2''-4'' deep. And sorry the pics came out a bit large. Jeff if u wanna resize them feel free.

Sweet!!! Congats on the rings!!! Real Alexandrite will set you back a chunk of change, especially on larger stones. You may be in for a nice suprise on the appraisal.

I am thinking your alexandrite is an amethyst though....
the refractive index and the color is all wrong for an alexandrite.
still both great finds though.

no im not thinking that it is an amethyst. Reason being is in the house it has a pinky purple color and when i go outside and get into natural light it turns a purplish blue color. I am not gemologist by no means but does an amethyst do that? Also would the put an amethyst in 14kt?

I am a gemologist and i'm guessing amethyst. I think you guys are right on!

Two fantastic rings in one day. AWESOME JOB!
Regardless of whether the one is amethyst or not, it is set in 14k and is a nice stone. I have seen stranger things in my day. In fact, I think my mom has an amethyst ring set in 14k white gold

I believe it looks like an amethyst. I have a small collection of uncut amethyst gemstones. They'd mount it in a ring if they were born in February.

well I'm sittin outside the jeweler now and once again the Treasurenet pros were right!! its is in fact an amethyst. oh well they're still pretty. the diamond ring she said if she had to guess it was maybe a 20s or 30s time frame ring. oh well, thanks for all the comments yall!!
