Today I had planed to hit an old baseball field but on my drive to my planed destination I saw a small patch of grass behind a bus stop that looked old, it had probably been there for 70 or more years. I had never noticed this place before even driving past it probably 30 times! At this bus stop only about 10 minutes after turning on my machine a get a good hit at 2 inches and out pops a 1942-S Merc! I would continue hunting this small path of grass for the next 2 hours and would eventually dig a total of 30 coins. The merc dime would be the best best coin found there.

I left the bus stop area and continued to my original hunt location that I had planed to hunt and found the place loaded with a game of little league baseball players:BangHead:

Leaving the little league players I continued to my second planed location and found the same obstacle ! ...Another game of little league going on...:BangHead:

A sand box near by would produce $5.98 in clad gas money.

On to my 3rd location...A park I've pounded to death still gave up 3 deep wheaties. So it was a good day, a silver dime in the first 10 minutes, and the next 7 hours worth of hunting was a little frustrating...

Wow! Nice finds! Thanks for the pictures of where you found them...would have never thought to detect there expecting so much trash.
What made you hit it?

Nice post!!! If you have lots of bus stops with grass around them nearby You've got some good spots that hardly ever get detected! Watch for the maintenance trucks! They pull up, throw out a couple cones and dump the trash can. Then they pressure wash the whole thing. Everything goes out the back in an arc. Most of the maintenance happens at night so they miss most of the stuff. You've probably only scratched the surface! Under the shady spots from trees will give up pocket spills. You're on to something good!!!!!! Sorry to say all but one by me has nothing but concrete & dirt that's harder than the concrete. Hope to see more pics from you!!

Great idea - the bus stop! Yes, baseball season is here. I have been going very early in the am with some success. Congrats on the silver and cool token.
