Hit an 1892 yard permission today. Found 3 wheats including a 1916 which is my oldest wheat and I this 1899 Canadian dime. Was a little disappointing to be honest. I am yet to find an undetected permission everything has already been cherry picked leaving only pennies and a missed dime here and there. Along with hitting all the hunted out parks all I can ever seem to find is dimes. I think this is 5 or 6 silver dime for the year. Still have not pulled a silver quarter out of any park or yard ever!πŸ˜₯ I need to move east!

I like that Canadian dime. I believe it would be sterling?

Yes from what I have read they are .925/ Sterling. I was a bit surprised to see it I thought it was another barber dime as that is usually what I find.

Nice finds. Be patient, you will find better places in your area. Have you been doing city or farmland? Farms can yield some amazing things. My cousins still live on the farm my great grandfather founded in 1898. 9 children grew up there from the original household. Not to mention migrant workers from the thirties to present. Lots of opportunities for lost coins there. Nebraska should be similar if not better due to settlers moving through. Good luck.

Funny, I found a 1967 Kennedy Half and was pleased, and it has less silver content than that Canadian Dime.

Although perhaps if you do the weight x content thing..........

If you aren't happy with that dime, I will gladly give you my address and you can send it to me? :dontknow: :laughing7:

Thanks for the comments everyone! Don't get me wrong I still loved the hunt and I am not hanging up my detector anytime soon. Just getting beat down a little lately. I have put in a lot of hours detecting over the last 3 years and have yet to find my honey hole.

@tomhighland. I have been hunting in the city only to this point. Havnt had the opportunity to hunt an old farm house. I don't feel right about driving up to strangers farms and asking permission but hopefully I will get the opportunity one day.

Vicky coins are very hard to find even in Canada. That dime makes your tough day a success!
