You're going along, maybe getting tired and you
get one of those annoying "can" hits! You KNOW
what it is, and yet, you also know that a large plate,
or bucket of gold would sound similar.

You debate in your head. Then, you justify it in
some way and you dig up those! You barely overcome
the feeling to just bury them back or fling them into a spot
you just KNOW you'll never hunt! (Nobody's looking...right!? :dontknow: )

2017 (431).jpg

But.....then....you decide to look just a lil closer. ;) LOL

Hey! They don't monogram beer cans! Do they? :dontknow: LOL

Went back to my latest field of dreams today.

The thing Fishy chose is a mangled, silver
candle holder. The ovalish thing beneath him
used to be a pin/brooch of some sort. I think I
can almost see a face on it. :)

2017 (430).jpg

The bling towering over Blingie is, I believe, the hand
held mirror for the same set my "brush" came from last time.

2017 (431).jpg
2017 (432).jpg
2017 (433).jpg

It's hard to make out due to the unfortunate folding
right on the monogram, but, I do believe the initials are the same
and it is silver as well!

I think the last two times there have given me more silver than I've ever
found before! Just....not in coins. ;)

Thanks for peeking folks!

Yes, I posted early this year about a Rev War belt plate that sounded just like it should be skipped, others had skipped it and I dug it up. Thrill of a lifetime! So I admit to wanting to skip some obvious cans that are not cans.

Nope ,that's not my technique at all.
I carefully dig suspected junk , at the same time making sure to vigorously stab any valuable items before seeing them......

Neat recoveries! Your in a hot spot for sure. A rein terret is on my list of hope to finds.
Of course ,silver like you are finding could be suffered through while searching.

I am very guilty of walking by targets. I get in an area of too many zinc penny signals and I get tired of recovering them.

How many rings have I passed up?

Your pics make me want to check every pop can!

I came very close to dismissing a 56 gram sterling silver cigarette pack protector - thinking it was yet another large aluminum can . Glad i bothered to have a closer look.

Sweet!!! Congrats on your silver totals!

That would make quite a few of those little round things...coins!

I am guilty of passing up some can signals, depends on how high the "tired" meter is. Then when i go back either i can't find it...or it really is a can!
This is just another reminder we need to dig it all sometimes.

One more piece and you will have found a complete brush set!
I think Blingie should leave the heavy lifting to you on this one, or he will be out for the season.
Fishy is just loving it all...the guide could be a hoop to jump thru, and into the pool!

Congrats on you field of finds! There is still more out there for ya!
Find, dig, enjoy...repeat, many more times!!!

Very nice finds Whadi. When in the fields, I dig it all. In the parks I'm a little more choosy with my signals. Good thing you double checked that item.

Looks like the field is treating you pretty good, congrats on your finds and, no I don't pass any signals in the places I hunt. I figure might as well clean it up anyway
