Thanks. Ive found quite a few octagonal cuff links with designs on it on colonial sites but this is the first oval one and first made of tombac

When you stated that no wonder you missed it before, just wondering what detector were you using?

I primarily used a Vaquero, then AT Pro, and now a Deus. Its hard to even find little bits of can slaw here anymore. The three finds came from a small section I guess Ive spent little time on in the past.

Thanks. Finding the earlier Barbers(pre 1910) has not been easy for me and Im sure for many. Ive only found one from the 1890s

Agreed late 18th C linked-button (cuff-link). Only had a few of these, not many turn up compared to the other types.

That etched oval tombac is unusual. I've found dozens of oval cuff links, but never a tombac one.
