Water is high, dirty and COLD still. I could see about a foot. Not a problem except for freezing. Found one swim locker tag, a 1947 king George penny clad dime? Rare find in this place. I believe this is only my third clad coin out of here with over 300 silvers. Oh well. Nothing too exciting. No police today!

Next stop inland lake for sure. Hopefully warmer!

Something about Detroit and River and Diving just sounds like a "nope" to me.

If you dont find any bones, skulls, or bodies its got to be a good day on the detroit river. Not to mention all the heavy metals and chemicals from the steel refineries. I dont even want to think about seeping sewage from decaying city infrastructure. All that aside you always seem to find the best stuff. Good luck this season cant wait to see this season's posts.

Luckily I am not exactly right off the city. I am diving off an island in the middle of the river where HOPEFULLY the sewage and bones have not made it over that far. So far I haven't got a ring with bones in the middle of it!

Wow thanks. I hope to have a good year. I am starting way late this year because of global warming or whatever is bringing this cold weather!

I have a goal to find where the huge slides went out into the river in the early 1900's. I am sure I will clean up a lot of goodies when I locate where the bottoms were. I used my Tiger Shark today which might not have been a good choice because I am rusty and was digging a lot of junk signals. I should have used my CZ-21. Live and learn. Hitting an inland lake the first part of the week and getting my boats ready for the season. Hopefully some great finds will materialize.

Water is too high here and I reckon cold as well. I don't scuba and am chicken of water any deeper than three feet or so. I usually do my water detecting solo so I try not to drown myself.:tongue3:
