I was out yesterday hitting some old backwoods trails in a park I live by. Started out finding a clad quarter and a Canadian penny and random small unidentifiable metal scrap bits here and there. About a foot off the small trail I get a zinc VDI hit. I dug the plug and this round object with fancy pops out. I rescan the hole and in the hole this other object pops out with 3 mock diamonds on it. Looks like a vase type shape.
After cleaning them off I see on the backs where they were probably pins or brioches. The pin lock where still there.
They both are of the same type of potted metal.
I wish I knew the story of how these BOTH got dropped and when.
Strange what you find in the woods.
Any idea of age?

The 1945 wheatie was found near my car.

Nice jewelry, they look pretty old. Are they made out of pewter? If so they could be fairly old. I would guess that they are from the 1800's. I love finding old jewelry.
