Ok, now you are all looking at this post.

I hit a new area in the woods at a local park near my office. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1501008222.490938.jpg
First signal was an almost complete set of harmonica reeds so I knew I found the site this time, 2 other hunts here and no dice, but hitting the old woods is always a gamble.

Then I hit this deep distinct zincoln target, I love these in the old woods as they are usually a flat button. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1501008469.363690.jpg Dug the plug to 6" and the target was still small and distinct and a few inches deeper and out pops this huge copper coin. I'm thinking so deep in an old map location, this has to be a colonial coin I'm not aware of as it is way larger than a LC. It turns out to be a holed $1 Playboy Token from the old Casino in Atlantic City. About 10 feet away another similar signal, but only 2" deep and it is a really nice green 1887 IHP. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1501008740.755535.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1501008749.264517.jpg
Here is everything from today's lunch hour hunt. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1501008790.841423.jpg
Heading to SoCal for a business trip tomorrow, see yinz on the beach...

Good luck out there!

That's a strange place to find a Playboy Casino Token, especially that deep. Odd for sure haha

That green Indian is nice. Most of the ones I find or way more crusty.

Definitely strange the way this hobby works, the coin that was dropped well over a hundred years ago just under the surface and the one dropped 40 years ago or less is the deepest coin I have yet to recover, 8+ inches. Thx!

Most of my finds in the city are less than 4 inches deep. Maybe my first deep coin will be a Playboy token as well :icon_scratch:

Very cool set of finds. The IHC is really nice, lots of detail and no corrosion. My Indians NEVER look like that.

Well played sir.
