A neighbor of my daughter called me over to her house today. She wanted to know if I would look for a lost gold earring. It turns out her puppy decided (about 10 years ago) to grab the earring off of her ear and she did not have a good location. She still had the other one to use for a reading. After an hour or so she asked me if I found anything.

I did not find her earring but found a really nice 1945 merc and another earring shaped like a painters pallet. She said she like to paint so I gave her the earring and said she could keep the dime.
She was so thrilled you would have though she won the lottery. She thanked me several times and, of course, gave me permission to continue to search her yard. She said she was really surprised that I found the dime as about 10 years ago 3 people detected the yard and only found one dime. :laughing7:

You guessed it. By the end of the afternoon I had 2 walking half dollars, 7 or 8 wheats, crotal bell and some kind of small round lead thing with a eyelet in it. 2 silver halves in one hunt is a first for me. Any help id on the small lead thing would be appreciated.

Both the owner and me went home happy campers!

Nice of you to offer her a few nice treasures. Two walkers is very nice. I had a buddy find two walkers in a hole once. I asked him if he was certain there wasn't another one in there before he closed the plug. He said nothing left. I scanned the hole and got the third walker. LOL! He wasn't too upset with the two though. Nice hunt there mate. Those "three musketeers" missed some good targets it appears. :icon_thumleft:

Nice little haul! It was nice if you to try to help. I get frustrated with myself when asked to help find something and cannot....It has happened more than once... Good luck if you go back.

Sounds like a great hunt. Anytime you can pull two Walking Liberty Halves in the same hunt is a pretty good day.

Congrats on a great day. The lead thing is a fishing weight

Or perhaps a bale seal. Anything on the back?

Two walkers in one day!! How is that possible lol!!

If the dog snatched it out of her ear, he probably ate it. If that is the case, you know where to look! hopefully he is a disciplined same place pooper?

If he ate it the fertilizer is long gone since it was about 10 years ago. She pointed to her nice shrub bed and said it might be in there but I would not touch that nicely landscaped area.
