Shade as at a Minimum in the Park.
Sun was Very Hot where the Shade didn't Reach.

But I wanted to get out & try the Deteknix Wireless Headphone Adapters

DSCF0002.JPG

I recently purchased from Fort Bedford Metal Detectors Β© :coffee2:
[a little Name dropping] :laughing7:

I figured with these I could be free of my detector when I lay it down.
Of course I forgot I now need a remote Control Wireless detector harness :tongue3:
Let's see them Solve That
:laughing9: Hover coil Maybe ?

the remotes worked OK but I forgot about the Volume control So I walked around thinking they took away from my Volume. Not realizing it was My Fault.

Anyway Gas Rebate

53 Cents

DSCF0003(1).JPG

and a Mickey Mouse head WingNut & Bolt & piece of Aluminum foil were my only Digs.

DSCF0005(1).JPG

While walking around, I saw this Rock under a Bench
DSCF0003.JPG
so I picked it up & threw it in my Pocket.

as I was continuing a Woman & 2 small Children came to the park.
after a Bit the Kids started walking around looking all over around trees , In Knot holes etc. So I figured they were either playing Treasure Hunters
because they saw me Detecting Or they were looking for the Rock :laughing7:

So I took it out My pocket and threw it in here.

DSCF0007 - Copy.JPG

of course They were gone by then So no idea if they will ever come back for a second look.

but as I threw it in, I noticed it was painted on the other side

DSCF0004.JPG

So may be part of a Game :dontknow:

as I Left & come to a Stop sign
I saw a Box of Goods with the word FREE on the side.
Half of it as Dolls & Other Wet Things from the rains.
part of it was Wooden Crafts

These were the 2 Items I couldn't let there.

This because of the Original Price Tag\\

DSCF0009.JPG DSCF0011.JPG

I hope when they Bought it, It had a Very Large Candle for that Price.

and I grabbed this just because

Very cool,, I will quickly surrender to the shade of the trees when the temps go up and the sun is hot.
Congrats on your finds.

Cool post Jeff, I always enjoy the pictures, scenery and a great story...I know your back gives you fits so I was hoping you would have been rewarded with at least one tiny bit o' silver. Thx for sharing, Ddf.

Well.....at least you got a couple of "bucket finds". :tongue3:

The one might could be re-purposed into a nice, solid sand scoop! :)

At least you got out!

Yes for a week now I've been planning on Getting out, but not following Through :(

I'm wide awake at night But dead Tired during the Days.
I'd swear I'm turning into a Vampire energy wise.

Last night as the first night in awhile I was able to sleep Comfortably.
Just enough to have energy this morning .

LOL on the sandscoop Idea. that Never came to mind :tongue3:
Must be from lack of Beach around here :laughing9:

OK This looks inline with the Minersville Rock

[h=1]Unitarian Universalists start painted rocks initiative to 'bring joy'[/h] Published: March 20, 2017
JACQUELINE DORMER/STAFF PHOTO Nathaniel Hafer, Minersville, paints a rock during the rock project at the Schuylkill Unitarian Universalists Church in Pottsville on Sunday, March 19, 2017.

It’s no smoke signal, but the Schuylkill County Unitarian Universalist Church is employing an old-fashioned method of communicating with a new twist as a way to reach out to the public.
Members are writing on rocks.
Volunteers planning to launch the church’s #SCUU Rocks initiative this April got together Sunday for a painting session. It’s hoped the decorated stones they were embellishing with acrylic paint and sealer will become a talking point among those who find them scattered throughout the county.
β€œWe will be painting river rocks with whatever inspires us, writing our Instagram account on the back and placing the rocks all over the county. Our goal is when people find one, (they’ll) take a picture of it, hopefully with themselves, and post it to our Instagram account which will also be tied to our Facebook account. It’s something like geocaching but without any coordinates,” Steve Poncelet, chairman of the SCUU board, said.
Hundreds of rocks are scheduled to be dispersed in April during community walks or hikes. Once the rocks are found, the finders can either keep them, put the rocks back where they were found or replace the rocks with ones the finders designed instead.
Poncelet said the local church came up with the idea after a few members who had moved to Florida told the church about the β€œLakeland Rocks” in Lakeland, Florida. Painted rocks were placed around Lakeland in an effort to spread joy, after one vacationer had seen a similar community take part in the colorful, well-wishing gesture in Washington.
Poncelet, his wife, Barbara, and their two daughters, Kate, 7, and Ana, 4, all of Orwigsburg, were among the volunteers putting their brushes to work.
Rachel Hughes, vice chairman of the SCUU board, also lent her hand to the cause Sunday.
β€œWe hope to inspire people to go out in the community and get to know us because we are a very welcoming congregation,” Hughes, Tamaqua, said. β€œThere was total acceptance of me from the moment I stepped through the door.”
Billie-Dawn Bubeck, Pottsville, meanwhile, used a rainbow theme for her rocks. Bubeck used to assist with the Arts and Crafts Kids Hour at the Tamaqua Library; she’s also a veterinarian technician, massage therapist and certified peer specialist in the mental health field.
β€œThis is supposed to bring joy into people’s lives,” Bubeck said.
Another painter, Nathaniel Hafer, serves as SCUU’s website developer. He said when he initially saw the SCUU Rocks initiative, rock β€˜n’ roll music came to mind. Hafer, Minersville, received an associate degree in graphic design and attended Bob’s School of Art in Allentown, he said. He’s created artwork for a Methodist Church in Tamaqua, as well as for local bands’ promotional use. His rocks took on a multi-layer, multi-hued background. When travelers come across the SCUU rocks, it’s hoped they’ll be in β€œmomentary awe,” Hafer said.
Jen Wonn-Oettl, Schuylkill Haven, and her two daughters, Analiese, 7, and Lydia, 4, joined in the effort.

Oh, so thats whats wrong with me, i'm turning into a vampire?

Nice hunt Jeff, out braving the heat.

Those metal cans could be used for holders of small tools.

Any day your out detecting is a good day! And you found goodies!

Interesting piece about the rock, maybe it will become a world traveler.

No matter what we find, just getting outdoors makes a good hunt.

Yea it felt Great ! even though I had to drop a Nitro to dig the Wingnut piece (My first dig, in difficult ground) Today it's very thick & Humid.

down in the 70's by the weekend but very Sunny . so we'll see when I can get out again.
