I have owned many brand detector's over the last 28 years. Last year I bought my Fisher F75, it was a learning curve, with the VDI's different from most detector's I had been use to. This year, I'm really listening to the machine, and finding Silver with other coins or objects in the hole.
Today, was another one of those, with a Silver Quarter VDI, bouncing around... Dug the plug, pulled a 1907 "V" nickel out of the hole.. Knew the VDI was much higher... reached in the hole and pulled more dirt out by hand. A 1917 Type 1 Standing Liberty Quarter.. The nickel was on top of the quarter and the green crud stuck to it... It took over an hour in a salt water electrolysis , to get the crud off.
After this week, I'll be spoiled, and throw my Rosie's back.... LOL NOT !!!!!! I value every silver I find, and think of a few friends every time I dig one. Make the time to get out... what a stress reliever....
