My first silver dollar, really pumped!

I made it to a new permission right on Main Street in my town. This house dates from the mid 1800's. aside from being an old house it is also around five acres of mowed lawn. Anyway the owner informed me that it had been metal detected before but gave me the go ahead. Well around the house was extremely trashy so I hit areas well away from the house and managed to get two pretty cool buttons, then when I was leaving I decided to hit between the front deck and Main Street quick the first hit I got was a 91 on the at pro. I was praying for a half dollar but thinking it was going to be trash but was pleasantly surprised. The two large cents were from a hunt last weekend. I ended up traveling to Newport Rhode Island (for a baptism but my wife gave me a couple of hours to play while we where there)so I found a good looking field did some door knocking and it paid off. 5 acres is a lot of land to detect. I would spend as much time as you can on that lot. Not every lot has a Morgan. Good luck!

I would be standing on the peak of my house waiving at traffic. What an awesome score! Not just the Morgan either. Pound the stuffing out of that lot. I found a very nice hoard of silver dollars under a sewing machine that I acquired many many Morgans and peace. But I HAVE NEVER DUG one. Still on the bucket list. A very big congratulations to you.

That's funny! But I guess a baptism is better then a funeral.
I will be hitting that lot some more I just do not know when, when I do I am going to hit around the house with a smaller coil. They are starting to cut corn here and there are a lot of fields that I am dying to hit.
