A few finds from yesterday. Its my 12 thimble, and this one is silver! The others are not from yesterday. The silver pin is sure tarnished, and the Indian is a little toasty. I found the lock on the surface! The brass ring has a little nub on the inside and is probably not a ring, I have found another like it long ago. 1891 IHP. The ore has calaverite running all through it but I will take it to someone who knows more to make sure, it might be pyrite. 1017171312_HDR-1.jpg This Colorado weather is amazing this fall!! I hope you get out and swing a little! 1017171312a_HDR-1.jpg 1017171316_HDR-1.jpg 1016171502b-1.jpg

Thimble's are something I always hope for. I've found only four of them, and in very nice shape, in three different sizes, one of which is made of Brass. They are of a personal item, which for me means more. Nice stuff you've found there. A great site to go to again and again....

Thanks for the posts, Rustygold and Parkpirate. I hope to post more. Thanks Spailroad I found one with a local grocery store from long ago. I gave it as a gift to a good friend who appreciated the history as we all do. They are a great find.

I found lots of old thimbles but I only ever found one silver thimble. Luckily it was a huge size 14! [emoji2][emoji106]

Thanks. I just thought you wouldn’t mind checking it out. I didn’t know much about the sizes either. Found some info on mine before too! [emoji2][emoji106]
