Pictograph on river rock found in a quartz ravine

I was handpicking quartz from a small ledge in an undeveloped area within south eastern Massachusetts and found this. There are no tool marks and is smooth to touch.

doubt its not a pictograph as is not etched or carved, I'm from mass and don't recall carvings in the area like they have out west

Very cool ! Could it be a fossil or just another type of mineral inclusion in the host material ? Calling all geologists out there.

Maybe someone put a sticker on it and left it out in the sun to get bleached. The sticker is long gone but the outline is still there. Reminds me of an angel looking at a star.
