Great Rev War Button! American Rev War buttons are highly sought after and can bring big bucks. You will need to coat that with diluted solution of 50/50 Elmer's glue and water (several coats) to keep those edges from flaking away. Practice on some period junk pewter first, like an old spoon or plain button. I'm gonna have to nominate that one for Banner!

The Elmer’s flue method is best and its reversible if need be. That button is one of the best finds I’ve seen since being on this site. Must confess Iam a rev war lover.

Superior score on the rare old button. The rest of your relics support this great button find as well. You are treading over some excellent dirt!

If you're going to find a button it may as well be a Revolutionary War button. That's a pretty awesome find.

Awesome find! I don't see many Revolutionary War period relics being found in NC. I've been digging the same areas for 6 years and yet to find a single Rev war relic. Congrats!
