I found a North Carolina 3rd Regiment Revolutionary Button, At first when I dug it up, It look like it had a VC,
I try to look it up on my phone but when I look at the button again, then I realize it was a N not a V, lol.
The rusty bell is a cool find for me as well and some other stuff..

Great finds, love the NC button ! I'm thinking they are furniture tacks, I once found the remains of a early 1800s seat from a horse and bugy with tacks like those. thJJSPI6MV tacks.jpg

I thought of upholstery tacks also & the site I found one there was colonial era stuff found there also. I suppose the could have been on saddles too.?

Great Rev War Button! American Rev War buttons are highly sought after and can bring big bucks. You will need to coat that with diluted solution of 50/50 Elmer's glue and water (several coats) to keep those edges from flaking away. Practice on some period junk pewter first, like an old spoon or plain button. I'm gonna have to nominate that one for Banner!
