Made it out to a local mesa park, Pioneer Park, IMG_0001.JPG IMG_0002.JPG IMG_0003.JPG IMG_0004.JPG IMG_0005.JPG IMG_0006.JPG IMG_0007.JPG that has been pounded to death and still managed to find a few keepers. The 1899 Barber quarter was 5 inches down, the 1945 s wheat penny was on the surface, a sterling pendant about the size of a quarter that is missing the lower half thanks to a lawnmower, and a key fob that is marked Call of Duty WWII. Two other MDing buddies went along and we had a nice 3 hour hunt. Also found a pocket full of clad with no pics. We all know what clad looks like. The temp got up to around 70 degrees and it was beautiful. Thanks for looking and good luck hunting.

Pulling a Barber quarter out of a public park today is a great find. Nice hunt with friends in the warm weather.

Great finds there! I've never found a Barber, actually the oldest coin I ever found metal detecting was an 1894 Indian - but that was a long time ago.
