Did some swinging at my mom's new house, (house new to her) built in 1940. Worked a 10x10 section and came up with 27 pennies. 15 of them being in a foot and a half circle. 24 wheaties, 1 1943 Canadian penny, 1 1995 penny, 1 2012 penny. Oldest one was a 1919 S .Where's the silver?
Took a picture in the the middle of digging once I realized I found a coin spill . 20180330_164426.jpg 20180330_164215.jpg

That is absurd! Most wheats I've ever found in a day is 15. Keep hitting that house, there's gotta be silver nearby!

Congrats on the good site! Just so you don't feel all alone. I have a spot on an old house site. Up to like 170 wheat pennies now over the last year or so and not one single silver! Have found 3 nickles but nothing shiny. My thought is it was a kids piggy bank maybe? Good luck!!! You still have a lot of ground to go. Keep us posted!

Thank you, yes that was a 10x 10 section of a 5 acre piece. Lots of swinging to go. ☺

I've hit places like that. My best was like 54 wheats in a hunt. The place had already been hit and they must have cherry picked as to leave soooo many targets.
I managed two war nickels and two mercs as well so it was a good day.

This weekend I hit a spot that gave up 21 wheats and...........9 silvers! I wish they were all that good!
