With all the incredible finds Crusader has pulled out, I'm surprised you HAVE a wish list still! Just goes to show, there's no end to the pleasure of great and greater finds!

I've revised my Wish List many times over the years. It should now be called the 'impossible list', but there is always hope.

Wow! Just now saw this!

Congrats, OS on a fantastic find!

As mentioned by others, I wish there were a system in the States like there is in ol' Britannia. It is very sensible, and everybody wins!

Thanks for posting the photos! I am in awe!

This Banner Find, gives me goose bumps! - for reasons I can't mention,
but this hoard must have been a very rich Roman's treasure...,
or, perhaps the loot taken from an enemy...?
...or, the taxes squeezed from the populace...??!

I had all those thoughts too, almost erie. I am going to go back soon to look for any "stragglers" ,from the pot being .caught by the ploughing.if l find any they will be classed as part of the hoard, but l should be able to take a picture of them before handing them in. Hutch.

Do they do any added investigation, like Geophysics?

Congrats on such a great and important find! Do you think it was hidden treasure or an offering? With all that Cru has pulled out I'm surprised there's anything left. Good luck.

Back wednesday for the "stragglers" despite all the walking around on the crop when we dug the original coins the crop of spring barley has very little damage to be seen and has grown so much lts difficult to detect:: in just 2 hours l found a further 70 coins . there will be more when the crop is harvested so . its time to be patient. I'm not sure about barley but thats why some farmers let us on the wheat until its 3 inches high, some think it does it some good to be walked on.

So, any news on the estimate? Must be closer to 15,000?
