Visiting our daughter in the Kansas City area I brought a detector just in case. Turns out they tore down a house on her block to rebuild and so the lot has a big hole and all the old house debris is gone. So this morning I went out for an hour and a half to try my luck. I was shocked and surprised. It was the quietest yard I have ever detected. Very few signals, not even many ferrous signals for nails. I did pull one bottle cap and a few tabs and foil bits, but a lot fewer than I expected.

I do have some luck, 23 clad coins, a 1964D dime, brass plum bob with a steel tip, toy car and a Teddy Roosevelt aluminum token. A fun start to the day and another silver for the count.

Anybody have any idea how old the token is? My guess would be 1950’s or 60’s. I haven’t found it on line anywhere. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for looking and may your coil find good things.

I think your token is a 1934 Cracker Jack Teddy Roosevelt token. Nice finds!

I don’t think it is a 1934 Cracker Jack token. It doesn’t look the same on the back.
