I had some time on Saturday to hunt back at the spot I found the 1833 Half Dime a couple of weeks ago. I started where I left off and the first signal was a nice Minie ball. Second signal was a 12-41 on the Etrac and I dug out an old dark silver dime instead of the usual wheat penny for that type of signal. As soon as I saw it, I had a good feeling it would be a seated. With a little bit of a rinse I saw I had an 1840 Seated Dime and even better that it's a New Orleans mint. I couldn't believe this was my second target. I got back to the search and found several odds and ends along with a few more dropped and fired bullets. I'm really liking my new spot and the only thing that would make it better is some good soaking rain to set in for a couple of days. HH-David

you dug a lot of very awesome lead there, a lot looked fired. old silver like that is like chocolate gravy, very sweet and a bonus. the nick on the face of the dime is just part of it, adds proof that it was actually dug in my book. that is one awesome spot to hunt. congrats
