I got out for another fossil hunting trip here in Florida and scored some nice stuff. A tooth to an extinct giant dolphin, megalodon shark teeth, snaggletooth shark teeth, makos and a killer point! I saw the point on the top of my shovel while filling up the screen...Very exciting!
Note: It is not legal to collect artifacts off of state land in Florida, but this is a small non-navigable, private creek. Just thought I'd throw that disclaimer out there for anybody that thinks I may not know the local laws.
Here's the video of the hunt:
For those who don't want to watch a video, here's some pics:
Extinct giant dolphin tooth.
A snaggletooth shark tooth in the screen.
Believe it or not, this is a baby megalodon tooth. Megalodon teeth come in all sizes...Some people think if it's not the size of your hand, it's not a meg.
A huge Native American point / spearhead!
A pretty orange juvenile megalodon tooth.
Some highlights from the hunt.
Thanks for looking! Hope you enjoyed.
