Today, the weather was perfect and ground conditions superb so i put a little more swing time into the permissions my son and i hit the other day.
I must say, we cleaned them out pretty good.

Still, i was able to squeak out a few more wheats, a couple junk rings, a lead toy soldier and some clad.

These are my finds for the day!

Not a pillage the village kinda day but not a skunk either!

If anyone can identify and date the toy, it would be much appreciated!

And who could have thunk! On my way home, i stopped by the store to get some meat for dinner and BINGO!

My first big score of more than a couple pennies or tokens!

I got a whole hand full of goodies from the coinstar reject return!

Two Rosie dimes and a Steel penny

picture of everything sorted.
Grand total of 48 coins and 3 tokens!

HH everyone!

I agree on the Coinstar find. I have been checking Coinstars for over 3 years and this is the first time i have ever found silver.
What i find interesting is all the modern nickels dimes and pennies that were rejected. They all look good with no reason to be rejected.

Congrats on to days scores. From the looks of the soldiers uniform and especially that wide brimed, short domed helmet I'd say WWI.

Another good day for you my friend! Good gracious, somebody needs to follow you around!

- Though I wouldn't want you stalked, went through that myself one time and it wasn't cool at all.

It happens because they overload the hopper and it kicks out the overload.

LOL thanks. Not the best of finds but i do like the toy for sure!

It happens because they overload the hopper and it kicks out the overload.

Good to know! I was thinking the machine was broke or something was wrong with the coins.

Ol' Sub is going to go out on a limb here and propose that your soldier is a US Army infantryman from the Spanish American War, Circa 1898-1902, complete with Krag rifle, slouch hat, neckerchief, spats, and Pattern 1894 Mills ammo belt! I cannot find a maker but when you clean him up more, please post more pix! Cheers, Sub 8-)

Ammoman, Now that I see the cleaned version of your military man, I am very sure that he is a Victorian era Royal British sailor. In full gear to go ashore! Cheers, Sub 8-)
