1920's house - Swastika , Silver, and more.......

Here are some of my finds from after work yesterday and today at the 1920's house I started hunting this week. The one with the lawn mower guy. ;D
I found another Merc in the front yard, and a swastika pin too. The other items were found in the back yard.
Some of my finds:
*1942 Merc
*Swastika pin (Any idea how old this could be?)
*1946 Nickel
*Two old buckles (?)
*1952 rabies vaccine tag (my 3rd tag in three days!)
*Jeep Gladiator #71 by Lesney (pat. #983558). Possibly from the 60's?
*Richard Petty toy car (newer)
*Asst'd relics & pocket knife

Thanks for looking.

Love the ole Dodge Roadrunner. Cool batch of finds.
MAybe the swastika was before WW2 and in that case

Merf,
I was wondering the same thing. I missed it my first time through the yard. This time I got an erratic signal and decided to dig. Of course it was under a 1" diameter root. Why is it most of my finds are hiding under roots? ??? ;D
Have a good one.

That would be a Super Bird. I had the privilege to drive one a few years ago. To bad it wasnt a Hemi car but it was still a blast! I know where one is for sale. Its in horrible shape so you could probably get it in the 80,000 dollar range!

Nice finds MM and congrats on the silver! A reverse picture of the swastika might help determine the age and origin. HH, Mike

before the nazi's took the swastika as "their" symbol and "twisted" its meaning--- the swastika was a good luck -- religous type symbol from indain with a long "peaceful" history and did not have the bad meaning many folks today assign to it.

Nice merc and Swastika. :) I also like the hot wheels. You don't find those much at parks/schools.

Ivan,
Thanks for the info.
Do you think they would frown on it if I wore it into work one day? ;D

The German Bund was big in this country in the 30's.German-Americans would wear symbols of the nazi party, before it became clear what Hitler stood for. There were such groups on LI.The KKK was also big on LI in the 20's and 30's,believe it or not. Here it was mostly anti catholic and anti jew. Before anyone gets upset with me about the bund,I' am part German American .These folks were just misguided.
