Got out for low two nights ago and back to the same spot again last night, 7 hours the first night and 3 on the second. The wind and higher surf and finally done some good and pulled a just enough sand off the beach in some spots to make a continuous cut through some spots. The place, as you can see was littered with trash and copious amounts of grey matter. Very few coins but there was enough silver and one small 14k gold earring (with real ice) to keep me happy! Not a bad start to the new year!

Total haul on the good stuff:
1 x 14k gold earring (ice is real)
3 x silver rings,
3 x junk rings,
1 x complete silver chain and heart pendant,
1 x silver butterfly pendant with purple stones
1 3 ringer bullet (pretty mangled, not sure if its CW or newer.)

Textbook metal detecting session(s) these days.

Story and pics are prime examples of what / to show someone who is new to detecting to realistically expect if time and effort is put forth.

This would be considered by me and many others as a "good day".

Well done Doc.

Wow, thatโ€™s a lot of targets. Nice cut to work. Where were the targets found in relation to the ledge? Right at it, flipped on top it dragged back several feet towards the ocean. I hunt N OBX and was there for a week during New Years and the beach was way quiet, too much sand. Congrats on your haul!!
