Today I had time to get in my first beach hunt of 2019. I arrived while the tide was still out so I focused on the wet sand and shallows since I didn’t bring waders (only had boots). After a few hours I found the usual trash, lead fishing weights, about $2 in clad, a SLQ, and a crusty, paper thin mercury dime. In fact the dime was caked with so much crust that it looked like a chewed up zinc penny! After leaving the beach I stopped at a park on the way back home where I picked up $0.50 in clad and a 1942 mercury dime. Thankfully this one had much more meat on the bone than the beach merc found earlier in the day.

Officially on the board for 2019 with silver #1-3! HH!
