Some more decent storms in SoCal allowed me to take the detector for a walk. After walking for a while I found a decent spot that was giving up some quarters and nickels. The whole beach had some sand removed but I had to walk for a while since the rest of the spots I hit didn’t hold good targets. The gold ring gave me a weird/iffy signal since it was on edge. It’s not marked but I’m guessing it’s at least 14k. Hunting was tough due to all the black sand but I still managed to get the gold ring, silver ring, small silver pendant and $8.06 in clad. Good luck out there and happy hunting.

The ring looks at very least 18K - very nice !

It does look very yellow so you’re probably right. I will try doing a specific gravity test and see what I get. HH

Just have it acid tested - many jewelers will do it for free !

I did the acid test and it held 14k good but faded slowly on the 18k. Gold is gold so I’m happy with the results.
