Im now up to 12 Large Cents and 7.5 British coppers from my newest permission. Oldest silver coin is only 1901:BangHead: Found a slick SLQ and the rest of the silver spoon from an earlier hunt. Also found whats probably my best condition British copper too. It came from the iron patch where the house stood until it was burned down around 1990. So it wasnt subjected to all the fertilizer for very long

Nice looking KG II. The first KG I ever dug was a 1739

Thanks. Ill have to go through my nearly 100 British coppers. Ill bet only a few have a date as clear as this one. Its tough to find them with dates in my bad soil

Beautiful coppers and SLQ! Nothing wrong with those oldies. My bro and I just hunted 1800s era permission in South Carolina for a week and didn't manage to find an old copper despite getting several flat buttons.

Thanks. Here’s a pic of all the coppers from this site in the past few weeks. Been eyeing this site for several years. It has paid off

Wow that’s a lot of old green coppers. Great group shot. No doubt you will be pulling some 1800s and maybe 1700s silver coins soon. Congrats!

Sure hope so but Ive been there quite a bit in the past few weeks and I would’ve thought at least a seated would’ve turned up by now. All those large coppers sure sound good but it shows just how hard it is to find Spanish, capped bust and early seated. All the silver that should have been circulating alongside Large Cents
