well got in 3.5 hours today going into dark. Went back to same place as last hunt. After about 3 hours in the heat, (summer temps when it should be fall) and digging nothing but crap - I got a deep, good signal.
At the 8" deep mark - there sat another Draped Bust half cent. It is far more corroded than the last one but I can see a '6' with a loop at the end of the date. It was in same general area as the 1808. Only coin that I dug but made my evening! Fewer and fewer finds at this site but it still isn't hunted out. ;D

So before the night was over - I was flying high... :)
caught this guy in balloon the other night flying overhead.

Looks like that location is one of those (all or nothing) places.

Congratulations on pulling that Half Cent from the trash!

The coin is a little rough but I would be happy. :) Nice score.

Yeah, what's the deal with this warm weather.....kinda bitter sweet.

Nice half cent you got there Ocean7. Coppa takes such a beating in the ground that its good if you can recognize anything. It's certainly got more than enough detail to recognize. Congrats!
