So 3cylbill and I were back at it again. This spot has just been great to me. This time along with the normal indians and a v nick, I found an array of coins. A trime, a seated dime, a seated quarter, barber, and a 2 cent piece! That cool old padlock with 1901 on it also came out, but iron shank was rusted and broken off. Was a beautiful day out and couldn't have asked for better weather or detecting. This place is so weird, quarters should be ringing up in the low 80s for my mxsport. But they are so deep and the soil is so funny, they were hitting low 70s and 60s untill I opened up the plug. Again nothing was dug under 8 inches besides one or two of the indians. Thanks for checking it out!

Seated quarters are tough to find but when they are they are almost always 1854, 1876 or 1877. All mine are. Same with trimes, 1851-53

interesting, I'll have to take a look at all the dates on mine but I seem to also vaguely remember a similar pattern...

High mintage years but you would think some other years had to be circulating too

So took a look, 6 seated quarters at this site. 3 from 1876, one from 1877, 1854, and 1857

vdi was really low and very very jumpy, if it even showed up at all. but sounded like a interesting blip in the threshold hum in all metal mode(one of several reason I choose to torture myself with all metal mode on the mxsport)
