Turn of the century homesite gives up sterling

    Now that felt good.
Finally hit on silver after a dry spell. Stopped off at a late 1800 early 1900 homesite after work and hit on a squeaky 73 on the AT Pro. I was fighting hot rocks throughout this site but this was repeatable.
I am not sure of the exact date of this homesite (house was torn down in the 60s I believe) but rumors around town is turn of the century.

Can these religions pendants be dated? How old would you guess?

I then hit on the metal vial or container. Ever see one before?

those silver catholic pendents were usually made in the 50's, 60's. Later years they started making them out of nickel silver and were not marked.

Yes it looks to be HMH.
Googled HMH and found The HMH Company was in operation from 1910 to 1962 and was considered the premier manufacturer of religious jewelry.

It would be nice if this was closer to 1910

The Catholics, especially Jesuits, were handing these things out for the last 400 or so years, so they can be tough to figure out. This does look 20th century.

Nice crucifix find. I know my Uncle wore a Sterling one exactly like the one you found, in the 1970's, but in the mid 1970's he was 65 years old, and may have had it for a long time.
