Hey everyone! I recently went back to one of my old spots from over the years and the heat pushed me out into the woods. Generally I wouldn't hunt this part, but I was in dire need of some shade. I worked my way close to the river across from an 1840s mill and had just dug a bottle cap when six inches away I got a solid 19 on the equinox 600. I dug the plug and out popped what I thought to be a modern penny. I didnt recognize the design at first and I kept trying to make out Abe's face on the coin until I realized what I had. It was an 1858 flying eagle cent with the top side of the coin in beautiful shape! The back side wasnt so fortunate, but I'm just glad I was able to come out with a readable one. I videoed the hunt and also scored a nice barber as well. I'll try and post the link up if I can. Thanks for looking guys and happy hunting!
