So today was my first non-beach outing with my XP Deus HF elliptical. Some bulldozing was done on the property of a 1700s farm in NJ, active through mid-1800s. Today I found 2 things I can't identify - an old iron strip with 2 holes, thin at one end and thicker at the other - and what looks like a tiny bullet? I have no idea, so please don't laugh if you know what that is immediately. I am impressed that my Deus pinged on that tiny one about 4-5 inches down. And then a Winchester shotgun shell end with a Winchester Ranger stamp on the back, and "No. 12" BUT no "Made in the USA." When I was researching shotgun shells produced by Winchester, most have a Made in the USA stamped under the name. So I'm struggling to figure out the age. Thanks everyone for looking! I only had about 20 min at that spot, so looking forward to going back. When you're getting iron and stuff like this, I'm thinking there might be other interesting finds in that area. On shotshell headstamps, the Made in USA was placed on some after 1927.

If no one can identify the "an old iron strip with 2 holes" and/or "looks like a tiny bullet" - you might consider posting your pictures on WHAT IS IT? for more exposure...

That tiny bullet is a .22LR bullet and the Deus has absolutely no problem with them.
