Went back to the ploughed field where I found the 1909 silver half a couple weeks ago. Tons of targets, but a LOT of farm junk. Found an IH cent, a 1911 silver fishscale, the lock and key, and my first complete horseshoe.

Then on my way home I stopped at another old farmyard and dug the Canada Customs buttons, and a few other odds n ends.

If anybody has any info on the “Canadian Driver’s Club” fob I would love to hear it. Must have been fun digging all those goodies. The coins are great, but I must say I really like the lock, key, and Horseshoe. By the way, would you happen to know what those 2 matching objects are in the lower left corner of your bottom right picture? I am referring to the matching rings with a bolt attached. I found something very similar a few days ago. I assume they were to a wagon or cart. Any way, congrats on the finds.

I think they are called reins guides. Would have been bolted to the wagon, and the reins through them to keep from getting tangled.

Yes Joe the 5 cent coin is 92.5% silver. They are the Canadian version of a US half dime, but are ever so slightly smaller. This one is pretty beat up, but I always love finding them. I think this is the 34th or 35th one I’ve dug!
