Went back to where I found the gold coin a few weeks ago. Found more small lead balls but none of them were gold dollars this time. Only notable find and found quite a ways away from where all the stuff has come from was the fancy silver handle. At least I think it is a handle to a small mirror perhaps and circa 1900. Any help with an id and age appreciated

Also got a few colonial bits for those that are into that kinda stuff. Buckle frag, decorative leather mount and another paste stone button

Depending on how big it is, it may be a Victorian button hook. Used for all those tiny Victorian collars and shoes and jackets. Picture for reference. 7B46CBF9-31DE-4ED5-8D80-8A5B5DB0E4EA.jpeg

Thanks. Never heard of one till now but that seems like a very good possibility

It certainly does look like the button hook handle in the picture - size reference is helpful here . Age is later Victorian or Edwardian ( 1890- 1910)
