More interesting things from my last couple of hunts. One hunt was pathetic but yesterday was fun having found a new site, and I didn't think I was going to get anything worthy from it - and I sort of didn't, because the Capped bust Half Dime was basically a random find walking back to the site after checking the next field over. A first for me so that's cool. The Canada Militia with cannons is also a first so not a bad day at all. The wax seal "Chaste And Honorable" was found on the previous hunt and basically the only thing I got. Time is ticking on our season but we will dig as long as we can!

Very awesome finds IP, the Capped is really sharp. I like the wax seal, have you taken an impression yet?

About that button- like Relicific says, it may be NWMP related. I also read that the military used them, and there was some crossover into the NWMP. Do you know anything about it?

I don't bother trying the seals. I did mirror the image to show how it would look. As for the button I don't know much other than having seen someone else find one and find the NWMP connection online, and like my post above I was luke warm at best to the whole idea. Mostly because of my find location. Had I dug it out West than I would think different.
