No pics, just a 41 wheatie and a super toasted IHP that I made even worse with lime juice. The IHP was super caked with the green crap that I tried to pick off with a tooth pick but it was really bad. So I tried the lime juice to see if it would help any at all. Nope, made it a lot worse. The green crap came off all right but it also took the remaining identifiable markings off. may should have watered down the juice some but oh well. Also found some 06 bullets, a few buttons and snaps, iron and of course, a smattering of pull tabs and rings. managed some clad including a few nickels and some copper wire. The ground is still saturated with water but at least it is not frozen LOL.

Sorry about the IHC but there are some out there that are truly beyond hope. At least you figured it out as an IHC.

Hey Dirt, try peroxide next time. I use it all the time. Always fun to find the Indians no matter how bad they are toasted. Nice job!

I’ve been there with the crusty copper coin cleaning conundrum. Sometimes you win and sometimes not so much. I use the Andres pencils more than any technique because it is very controllable. Congrats on the oldie!
