I decided to revisit my new site this weekend where I “almost” found my first gold coin, which turned out to be a gold plated US 1874 dated token. Under partly cloudy skies and comfortable temps, just a beautiful day to be outside, my equinox sniffed out $3.10 in clad, a mangled gold(?) ring, a US Calvary bridle rosette, the back of an Ansonia pocket watch, and a 1964 quarter. 1964, just barely silver! I suppose this somehow balances out finding the gold plated token the day before. The ring seems to have suffered fire damage, and while the ring has a maker’s mark it is difficult to read due to the damage. IMG_6754.jpg

Anyways, hope everyone is staying safe and doing well. Good luck and happy hunting.

That's a huge ring. Y'all have giants roaming around your neck of the woods?
