New permission so many firsts !

Hey Everyone
Hope everyone is safe. Been a bit since updates . My 1800 permission never happened , the husband was ready but the wife had reservations. So I will see where that goes as we move forward. In the mean time meet a great couple
From Ireland living in a 1920’s home. There parents own the houses beside and to the left of them . They gave me permission to detect all three. Started with the 1920 home. Got my first jewelry, huge 925 band , Sterling horse pin, heart pins , first Buffalo Nickel, first multiple silver coin day, multiple vintage hotel keys , first lead toys the list goes on . Found the large silver ring and one of the mercury dimes within minutes of arriving . By far my favorite detecting day. Everyone be safe out there .

Huh...I think I've seen that horse going around some track....very vague memory of seeing it once. I think it's old 1920s-1940s. Just guessing though. That would fit good with your 1920s homesite !

sweet finds! Looks like a fun place to hunt. That old ring looks strange, any idea what kind of metal it is and can you make out the inscription? anyway, congrats on a stellar hunt and good luck on your return!!

Your lead horse toy, is a Cracker Jack prize, from the 1930's, you know, way before they started putting paper prizes in their boxes ! That is a nice variety of finds you made.

Second pass! Nice silver run

Heard governor was go to issue stay at home latter today so decided to try the 1920 property while I had the chance. Another great day! Someone had a obsession with hotel keys all
Total found 8! All within a few feet apart . The sweet spot is the old cottage located directly behind home on same property . It is actually newer than the home but in the past had been used for family members visiting. Today in addition to more hotel keys , 2 mercury dimes 1939, 1942, 2 Roosevelt dimes 1946 and 1964 and a super nice war nickel 1945. Also found a metal button stamped Belks and a portion of a watch band marked maxim , saw the gold and almost passed out but doesn’t appear to be anything special. If I have to stay in for a few weeks this was a great last hunt for a while . Everyone be safe.

Almost forgot the truetone face plate? From what I gather truetone was a radio sold by western Auto , but not sure the time frame . Love the look of it though
