Hey Guys

Got out for the first time in like 2 years today. I need some ID help on two strange items.

First appears to be a military button I think. Its a two piece button. Shank has fallen off, Its super brittle ans I cant make out the backmark. The letters appear to be "NHC" It has a star at the top and a wreath at the bottom.

The other piece I thought was a shot musketball until I clean it. Its about the size of a dime and made of lead. There is letters on it, however I cant make them out.

I see "4. e. US" and what appears to be an Land V on the other side.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks

The lead piece is a Bag/Bale Seal.

Sweet.
Used for marking feed/ things of that nature?
Lots of different uses, main one in a field was mature or guano.
Although some sealed box cars on trains or electrical boxes, so I probably should of just stated Lead Seal, until a positive ID, but I went with the most likely.
