'Slim pickins' at a Baltimore City park today. I've seen the button described as from a livery uniform but could be civilian fashion. Best find of the day is this plated cufflink.

The crown over horn reminds me a lot of War of 1812 British Light Infantry hat badges. I'd try looking them up. It may be from the Battles of North Point and assault on Ft. McHenry. Really cool. At least you got out.

I'm starting to feel like a criminal detecting all by myself...

Thanks, Randy. Bit of a blustery start to the day, here in Baltimore, but sun broke through and wind abated, making for a very decent afternoon to hunt.

Thanks, Smokey. Interesting about the button. It wasn't the target I was hearing (I think). Button was off edge of hole and deep (10 inches); the '30' target I centered on was a clad quarter at 4 inches.
