I found this today, I know what it is but would be interested to know more and the thoughts of the community upon its existence. I provided the information I found and photos of the one I dug and a non-dug example. This is the oldest thing I have dug so far and nearly threw it away when it was dirty thinking it was just a flimsy cap/lid to something.
