I hunted a low tide this past Monday. Dug a lot of clad, bottle caps, pull tabs, etc. My best find was this 1935 school ring inscribed Schola Latina Bostoniensis, which is the Boston Latin School, in Boston, Massachusetts. Established in 1635, this is the oldest public school in the country. Famous alumni include, for example, Benjamin Franklin, Samuel Adams, and John Hancock. The famous conductor/composer Leonard Bernstein also attended Boston Latin, graduating in 1935, the same year as this ring! The emblem depicts Romulus and Remus nursing on a wolf. Also dug seven silver coins, including 1942 and 1947 Washington quarters; 1946, 1952, and 1964 Roosevelt dimes; and a 1940 and undetermined Mercury. Can't wait to go back! Happy hunting, and good luck out there.
