I guess it's an organ reed.....Thanks Guys

I was hunting the local school on my raod this afternoon. I found the usual stuff. I was hunting in the dirt areas and not in the woodchips. I dug this up, but have no idea what it is. My area is rich in Civil War history, but I've never dug anything like this. I think it's a good find.

Any Ideas??

Definetley an organ reed,I found one yesterday and one a while back.These here are slightly under 2" but they can be longer depending.First thing I thought too was CW related......HH!!

Thanks, all. I was doing some research. I thought it was a rifleman buckle slide. But that has an open end, mine is closed.

The actual "reed" part is missing from these photos. It would have been a thin strip of metal extending along the length of the opening.
