    Not John Cameron Swazey

I decided to hunt in the river and stay cool. Didn't find anything notable but a Timex watch in about 4 inches of gravel. It's still running. Based on the crud, corrosion and depth in the bottom it wasn't a new drop.

Takes a licking and keeps on ticking, as Timex said back in the day.

"And so the population was gradually led into the demoralising temptations of arcades, baths, and sumptuous banquets. The unsuspecting Britons spoke of such novelties as 'civilisation', when in fact they were only a feature of their enslavement." Tacitus, Roman Senator and Historian, written AD 98.

The Bald Eagle photo...he/she posed for me, gave me it's best American look. I felt privileged to get the shot.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

I liked the ad where he attached the watch to a prop on a boat engine. Used to be a Timex museum in Waterbury, CT but it went bust. Wonder where all the watches went......
