Silver found on another colonial site in the new field

Hit the 1764 1 Real site with a friend on Sunday(first pic). Highlights were a plain two piece and plain spectacle buckles. Tonight I searched a new area that looked good from the road. Sure enough another colonial site Two more small buckles and a sweet little engraved silver cuff button of a type Ive never seen before for a colonial site. Found the two pieces about a foot apart.

Nice Finds. Nothing better than expectations for searching a new found site with thoughts of what may be awaiting discovery.

Great hunt you had, with the buckle and monogrammed silver piece. Congrats
The round item in 2nd photo below the thimble would be off a pastry jigger or a rowel?

Congrats on finding a new site. Nothing more exciting than that & wondering what may show up....

The engraved IA which of course was a JA in that period is 18th C but like you say of a style I don't associate with that period. Looks like a kind of collar stud style, odd.

It looks like Bill Dancys book Virginias Colonial Artifacts has at least one example but it definitely wasnt a common variety as Ive found no evidence anywhere else as of yet

I believe the "I" would have to have a crossbar through it to make it a "J"
