That's awesome!
Interesting piece with a good story behind it.
Something new and different is the name of the game..and you're off to a great start!
I'm addicted to brake fluid and feel I can stop at any time.

Yes a good possibility on the horse rossette. I know this picture here I’ll put is a totally different one and later years but it gets the point across I think to see the comparison...

Could it have been a neck stock ornament of sorts? Killer find and I like how the button numbers match it, very cool

"Nova Scotia is a metal detecting paradise"
I contacted a military expert in Britain about what I found and got a response...
“Good day Kevin,
Many thanks for your contact.
As you know it’s not in the best of condition, but it looks like a helmet plate. It looks like 81st Regiment of Foot (Loyal Lincoln Volunteers).
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/81st...ln_Volunteers)
The regiment was in Quebec in 1814 and had a garrison in Canada in 1822 for seven years. So in the area.
Hope this helps a bit.”
Kind Regards
Jim
So I guess that the best answer I can go with so far. I’m going to go back soon to see if I missed any pieces of it or perhaps if there’s another relic nearby!
