Working on a new location and picking the shallow blow my ears out targets, I got this pile in an hour of swinging my coil.

I don't know what that pile of brass and lead says to you, but to me it says... virgin ground! :notworthy:

I'd guess there was a handloader (person) there at one time, probably early to mid 20th century from the corrosion on the cartridges and the calibers.

Anybody with a good detector who knows their machine well could easily have cherry picked the silver and left those behind. To me, shell casings and shotgun shell brass are just nuisances. At least the lead slugs I find can be melted into fishing sinkers, never found much use for the shells. I hope your new place IS virgin and you find cool stuff there.
